Thorny Devil Stick Insects are a pretty fearsome looking critter! They are hardy, active and very easy to keep. Growing up to 15cm they make good pets for smaller children. They are semi-arboreal enjoying both climbing and ground dwelling.
Feeding: Bramble mainly but they may take oak too.
Housing: Prefereably 45x45x60 enclosure, peat or cocoa substrate at around 3inches to soften the impact of any falls and allow them to lay their eggs.
Heat/Light/Humidity: They prefere higher temps and humidity as would be found in jungle. 24-28 degrees and up to 80% humidity. This is easily achieved with heat mats and a thorough misting twice a day.
